Project questions
Singapore scaffolding FAQ
These answers explain what can be established before quotation and what must be checked for the actual site. Follow the linked MOM and BCA sources for current official information.
Is Ezzogenics presented as a MOM-approved Scaffold Contractor?
No. This website does not represent Ezzogenics as an Approved Scaffold Contractor. Where the planned work requires an ASC, the responsible contractor must be identified and checked against MOM’s current list before the work starts.
Tower scaffolds, trestle scaffolds and certain scaffolds below the threshold described by MOM are excluded from the ASC requirement, but other erection, supervision and inspection duties still apply.
What information is needed for a scaffolding quotation?
Provide the site address, intended work, access height, approximate dimensions, expected loading, indoor or outdoor conditions, programme and whether erection, inspection, dismantling or delivery is required.
A written quotation is issued only after the relevant scope is understood. Website images and catalogue entries are enquiry references, not confirmation of price, availability or suitability.
How is the right scaffold arrangement selected?
Selection is project-specific. The responsible parties should consider the work activity, geometry, foundation, loading, environment, access, movement, tying and manufacturer’s instructions.
The final system and design responsibility should be recorded in the project documents rather than inferred from a generic website description.
Who should erect and supervise scaffold work?
MOM guidance says scaffolds at a workplace must be erected by trained scaffold erectors under the immediate supervision of a trained scaffold supervisor. Additional manufacturer training may be needed for proprietary systems.
For work that falls within the ASC requirement, verify the appointed Approved Scaffold Contractor separately.
How often must a scaffold be inspected?
MOM’s scaffold FAQ explains that, except for specified low-risk exclusions, scaffolds must be inspected by a trained scaffold supervisor on completion and thereafter at intervals not exceeding seven days, or after weather conditions likely to affect the scaffold, whichever is earlier.
The responsible person should apply the exact legal requirements and record the inspection before use.
Does every scaffold require a Professional Engineer design?
No blanket claim is made. MOM notes that PE endorsement for tower scaffolds is not mandatory except for special applications, while other configurations such as specified cantilever or suspended-scaffold supports have particular design requirements.
The responsible parties must determine the requirement for the actual site and configuration.
Are prices and delivery times fixed on this website?
No. Price and timing depend on scope, configuration, duration, logistics, design, inspection and document requirements. Both are confirmed only in a written quotation.
Submitting an enquiry or equipment request does not create a purchase, reservation or promise of availability.
What company details can be independently checked?
The BCA directory lists EZZOGENICS PTE. LTD., UEN 201208665Z, at 15 Kaki Bukit Road 4, #01-44 Bartley Biz Centre, Singapore 417808.
It lists BCA Registered Firm (for public sector works) – CR06 (L1), expiring 1 July 2028. CR06 is Interior Decoration & Finishing Works and is not evidence of MOM ASC status.
Where can I check the official sources?
